MEET THE TEAM

JONATHAN MARKS - MANAGING DIRECTOR jonathan@mtc-uk.com
Jonathan is considered one of the most seasoned, respected commercial sports and licensing agents in the UK. He has worked with and represented many of the nation’s biggest names since founding MTC in the early 1990s.
Emerging from a successful career in retail, manufacturing and licensing with Marks & Spencer, he has approached management from a very different angle, with a constant focus on results-driven sponsorship that is sharpened by his passion for product and sales.
Jonathan’s commitment to the clients he works with across his management and consultancy responsibilities has afforded him the privilege of working with talent throughout their time with MTC, from the early stages in their careers, through their growing success and ultimately playing an integral part in their achievements.
He would hope his epitaph would include breaking the clichéd views of sports management by working closely and in genuine partnership with sponsors and broadcasters (but hopes that his two children Leo (8) and Charlotte (6) will pursue proper careers when they grow up).

EMMA WADE - COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR emma@mtc-uk.com
Emma manages MTC's commercial and management divisions. Focusing mainly on Olympic talent, Emma is responsible for developing the sponsorship and PR activity of MTC clients, managing MTC sponsorship projects, as well as overseeing the corporate speaking division.
Emma began her working life at sports information service Sportcal before joining MTC originally in 2003 as a marketing assistant. Only the pull of Lord's and the world of cricket was enough to make Emma move on and she joined Middlesex County Cricket Club for a number of years as Communications Manager. Emma is excited to have rejoined MTC this time around from Threshold Sports, the sports events and consultancy agency of which MTC client James Cracknell is a Director.
With nearly 10 years working in the sports marketing arena Emma combines a broad knowledge of marketing, communications and sponsorship with a wealth of experience in managing and developing talent.
Away from the office Emma loves nothing more than being outdoors and spends weekends on the hockey pitch, cycling and giving herself sporting challenges like running the New York marathon on her honeymoon!

ANDY GOULDSON - ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, COMMERCIAL/MANAGEMENT andy@mtc-uk.com
Andy is responsible for the day-to-day management of MTC clients, coordinating their media activity and contractual appearances, as well as assisting on their commercial and corporate speaking activity.
On finishing university, Andy spent some time working for the prestigious Royal St Georges Golf club in his home town of Sandwich before embarking on a career in Recruitment. Following 18 months in the recruitment jungle, Andy realised he needed to pursue his passion for sport and joined the MTC team in the summer of 2009. A sporting aficionado, he prides himself in providing the team with regular updates on all things sport!
Andy is an avid Newcastle United fan (for his sins) and having slipped through the net like so many teenage footballers, can still be seen gracing the playing fields every Saturday in the Wimbledon and District Premier League for Union FC!

GREG KIRKPATRICK - ASSISTANT, COMMERCIAL/MANAGEMENT office@mtc-uk.com
As assistant to the Commercial/Management division of MTC, Greg's role is wide and varied. From being the first point of contact to managing invitations, fan and charity requests to providing administrative support, Greg is on top of it all.
A promising footballer, Greg signed forms for West Ham at the tender age of 7 where he was to spend the next decade of his life (on the treatment table) prior to going to university. Once at university, Greg was to be found on the infamous table at the library pretending to study all things sporting and became decorated by the English Institute of Sport. Since university, Greg can now be seen on the famous table at MTC helping to organise the office, the clients and most importantly, the founder member of the now defunct institution Dressing Gown Friday! He is also the proud holder of the MTC Beat the Intro trophy, until next time...
