Athletics Season Starts Now
Harry went head-to-head with Craig Pickering last weekend
The indoor sprint season started with a bang in Glasgow on Saturday as the European U23 champion, Harry Aikines-Ayreetey took on defending champion and fellow GB teammate, Craig Pickering, as well as the US indoor champion Mark Jelks in the 60m sprint. Harry was representing a Commonwealth Select team in the Aviva International match and the race was action packed as Harry finished 2/100 seconds behind winner Craig Pickering and Mark Jelts who squeezed into second. Harry will use the race as a stepping stone for future ambitions as his aims for the 2010 season is to purely focus on improving his performance in the 100m.
