Commonwealth's Calling Keri-Anne

World Open Water Champion Keri-Anne Payne has qualified to represent England at this year's Commonwealth Games

Keri-Anne Payne showcased her phenomenal swimming abilities by securing a spot on the England team for this year's Commonwealth Games in India. Payne, who won Olympic silver and World gold in the 10km open water discipline, demonstrated her all-round strength as she finished third in the 400m medley at the British Gas Swimming Championships on Saturday.

Keri-Anne will now travel as part of the England squad to Delhi in October but before that she will be in Canada aiming to defend her title as World Open Water Swimming Champion against the world's best in July.

2010 is sure to be a very busy and hectic season for Keri-Anne but she is likely to view it as part of the preparation for both the pool and open water at London 2012.
