Cracknell Conquers Duathlon
James Cracknell's latest adventure saw him successfully compete against Britain's best Duathletes...
Last weekend was the Clumber Classic, British Duathlon Championships where the best Duathletes from around the UK compete for a place in the British team for the World Championships. Once again James Cracknell showcased his formidable endurance ability to finish in 6th place in his age group and has qualified to represent Great Britain at the Duathlon World Championships in Edinburgh this September if he chooses to.
James' latest feat is made all the more impressive with the fact that he entered the race purely as preparation for the Marathon des Sables, which he is running in April, and so has not been specifically training for the Duathlon. James ran 10k, cycled 40k and then ran a further 5k on the road in a time of 1:55:26.
