Danny Crates was a guest speaker at McDonald's first Open Farms visit of 2011.

McDonald's has pledged to open up the British farms that supply the produce featured on their menu in the run up to the Olympics and Paralympics next year. Danny Crates was a guest speaker at the first Open Farms visit which took place at Upper House Farm in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

A former Paralympic Champion, Danny understands the importance of maintaining a healthy diet and treating yourself once in a while. During the visit Danny spoke to members of the public about his experiences as a competing athlete and held a question and answer session for local MP's and journalists.

Further Open Days shall take place all over Britain in the build up to 2012 where McDonald's will be providing meals for the Games. The open days shall be available to limited members of the public, farm leaders and local dignitaries in order to help people understand where McDonald's food comes from and the quality of its suppliers.
