Daniell Excels At Revolution

Dave Daniell represents England in spint-cycling battle against Scotland

Commonwealth medallist David Daniell was back in action last weekend. He was competing for England once again as part of a team sprint trio that went head-to-head with a Scottish sprint team that included Sir Chris Hoy at the opening Revolution Series event at the National Cycling Centre.

David came away victorious from the Manchester Revolution meeting in the team sprint having overhauled a Scottish outfit which included Olympic champion Chris Hoy. Performing alongside team mates Jason Kenny and Matt Crampton, the English trio triumphed by just 3 tenths of a second over their home nations rivals.

Earlier in the evening David had produced strong performances in the individual events, reaching the final of the championship sprint, having come through as second fastest qualifier. He later placed third behind Hoy and Kenny in the Keirin.
