Keri-Anne Claims Victory

Keri-Anne Payne will be representing the British swimming team at the World Championships in July after winning the women's 10km race at the Open Water Cup in Israel

World Champion and Olympic silver medallist Keri-Anne Payne will be representing Great Britain at the Open Water World Championships in Quebec later this year after she claimed victory at the Open Water Cup in Israel at the weekend.  Keri-Anne won the race recording a time of 1:56:16, 11 seconds ahead of Cassie Patten who came in second.

Keri-Anne will head to Quebec as one of the favourites to add another crown to her already impressive list of titles and British team leader Mark Perry acknowledged Keri-Anne's talents by adding "Payne and Patten completely dominated the women's event from start to finish and showed their class and experience over a fantastic course" after the event at the Royal Beach in Eilat.
