Keri-Anne Is World Champion!
Keri-Anne Payne has won the 10km open water swim at the 2009 World Championships...
MTC's Keri-Anne Payne has claimed Great Britain's second gold medal of the 2009 FINA World Championships, after winning the women's 10km open water race.
The 21-year-old 2008 Beijing Olympic silver medallist prevailed in a time of two hours, one minute and 37.1 seconds. The victory is particularly rewarding for Keri-Anne, as she saw off strong competition from a host of exceptional swimmers which included Larisa Llchenko, the Russian swimmer who edged her into second place at last years Olympics.
