Lifetime Best For Perri
Perri Shakes-Drayton has started her 2010 outdoor season in sparkling form as she sets a new personal best…
Perri, who has been tipped by many as one to watch out for at London 2012, was in sparkling form in her specialist 400m hurdles event, as she set a lifetime best of 54.91seconds in Turin. Perri is continuing to progress well towards the Olympics in two years time and her time of 54.91s was the fourth fastest on the UK all-time list and fourth fastest in this season’s European rankings.
Phillips Idowu was also in action at the weekend. Phillips was jumping at the Diamond League meet in New York and finished third, behind France’s Teddy Tamgho and Sweden’s Christian Olsson. Idowu will be looking to get his revenge this weekend at the European Team Championships in Bregan, Norway, where Perri and Jenny Meadows will also be in action for Great Britain.
