Lizzie Armitstead and David Daniell have been included in the England cycling squad that will compete at the Commonwealth games in Delhi later this year

Lizzie Armitstead and David Daniell have been named in England's cycling squad that will travel to Delhi for the Commonwealth Games in October. The squad consists of a mixture of young track riders and established road racers with head coach Shane Sutton commenting "we have selected a young track team for the Commonwealth Games to give England's rising cycling stars an opportunity to experience a large scale multi-event competition as they're preparing for their first Olympics. With a number of our top performers competing on the road, we are also in contention for medals in these events."

Although only 21, U23 national champion, Lizzie will be looking to add to her already impressive medal tally as she will be riding as part of the Women's road team. David, an immensely talented 20 year old sprinter from the Olympic Academy will be a part of the men's track tream that will have aspirations of returning with a medal.

Congratulations to both Lizzie and Dave from all at MTC!
