Lizzie Back On The Road
After a successful Track World Championships, Lizzie Armitstead returned to the road in Holland
Lizzie returned to road racing for Cervélo at the weekend at the Ronde van Gelderland in the Netherlands. The 140km Ronde van Gelderland took place on Saturday and was Lizzie's first competitive ride since achieving two silver medals for Great Britain in the recent Track World Championships in Copenhagen. The event was viewed as part of her Cervélo team's build-up to the next women's World Cup event, Flèche Wallonne. Lizzie's fantastic speed and endurance saw her "working" for her teammate and sprint specialist Kirsten Wild with great aplomb as Wild took first place for the Cervélo team, highlighting the great work done by Lizzie.
