Lizzie Dominates On Her Debut
Lizzie Armitstead completes a full house at World Track Championships in Poland...
MTC's Lizzie Armitstead was the star of the show as she completed a full house at the World Track Championships in Poland over the weekend winning medals of all three colours. Lizzie, competing at her first World Championships won the Gold medal in the Team Pursuit, a Silver medal in the Scratch race and a Bronze medal in the Points.
This was a very mature and impressive debut on the World stage by Lizzie and further highlights her credentials to be a top competitor and Olympic Gold medal hopeful for the London 2012 Olympic Games in three years time.
Lizzie, who already had seven World Cup victories to her name, also clinched the overall titles in the team pursuit and scratch with victories in each discipline in Copenhagen last month. She also won the scratch and team pursuit in Melbourne and Manchester.
