MTC Sign New Talent

MTC (UK) Ltd is delighted to announce the signing of two superb new clients; gymnast Daniel Purvis and 400m hurdler Jack Green.

Daniel Purvis
Daniel Purvis is a rising star in the British Men's artistic gymnastics team.
2010 saw Daniel enter the senior ranks where he promptly showed his pedigree at the European Championships in Birmingham; winning team silver and an individual bronze medal in the floor discipline. Later the same year Dan won a further bronze medal on the floor at the World Championships.

After a successful start to his senior career Daniel went from strength to strength in 2011. After winning his second consecutive all-around British title he obtained a bronze medal in the all-around competition at the European Gymnastics Championships and won the 2011 World Cup event in Glasgow. The 21 year old from Liverpool showed experience beyond his years at the World Championships in Tokyo. Dan was a steady rock for the team performing consistently in every event. Despite the teams overall disappointing performance Dan showed he is an extremely capable gymnast qualifying for the individual all-around final where he finished in 4th, just missing a medal by 0.323 marks.

In failing to secure automatic qualification for the Games, the Men's team had to finish in the top four of the eight teams at the Test Event to get a full quota of places for the Olympics. Dan produced another brilliant all-around performance, scoring 89.948 for the six pieces of apparatus to top the individual standings and secure Olympic qualification. In the apparatus finals he won Gold on the Floor tied with Chilean gymnast Tomas Gonzalez. Having recently won the coveted BOA Olympic Athlete of 2011 for Gymnastics Dan has his sight firmly set on a medal at the London 2012 Olympics.

Jack Green
Jack Green has been highlighted as a potential future champion on the international stage in athletics. After winning the 400m hurdles at the England U17 Championships and the Schools International in 2008 he went on to captain the bronze medal winning GB 4x400m relay team at the 2010 World Junior Championships, recording the fastest split time of the competition. This performance demonstrated Jack's superb talent and resulted in him joining the acclaimed hurdles coach Malcolm Arnold as a full time athlete.

2011 saw Jack step up from the junior circuit to compete against the world best 400m hurdlers. Jack relished this challenge, dropping his PB by over a second in a year and breaking the 49 second barrier for the first time in front of a home crowd at the Aviva Grand Prix in Birmingham. Full of confidence Jack competed in the European U23 Championships in Ostrava, returning home victorious having claimed a gold medal in the 400m hurdles and announcing himself as one to watch in the world of athletics.

After his success at the European U23's, the next step in Jack's development was the 2011 Athletics World Championships in Daegu. Jack showed why he is hotly tipped by Coach Malcolm Arnold to reach the pinnacle of Athletics, becoming World and Olympic Champion, narrowly missing out on place in the final of the 400m hurdles at his first senior international competition.

Still aged just 20 and with only one year's full training behind him Jack has shown he is a star in the making and is now focusing on his preparation for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
