Payne Leads British Team
Keri-Anne Payne came away from the Midmar mile and Midmar 10km race in South Africa this weekend with 1 gold and 1 bronze medal
With many of the top international names in Open water swimming all in attendance and the Midmar Dam looking at its best, the excitement for the 2010 Halfway-Telkom Midmar Mile was at boiling point. Much of the talk pre-race had been about can the favourite Keri-Anne defend her crown.
The Midmar Mile was the first competitive appearance for Keri-Anne this year and the World Champion did not disappoint as she claimed first place in the Midmar Mile race on Sunday and third place, behind Cassie Patton, in the 10km race on Tuesday.
Congratulations to Keri-Anne from all at MTC for another remarkable performance
