Phillips, Jenny and Perri In Squad
Phillips Idowu, Jenny Meadows and Perri Shakes-Drayton have been named in the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team to compete in the European Team Championships
UKA have announced a clutch of world medallists that are set to travel to the European Team Championships in Bergen, Norway as part of the Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland team. World champion Phillips Idowu leads the strong line up and along with world indoor silver medallist Jenny Meadows and European U23 champion Perri Shakes-Drayton, Team GB will be looking to receive an impressive medal haul.
The competition is set to take place on June 19-20 and will provide a good preliminary to the European Championships later this summer. Phillips will be looking to continue his build up to the Europeans by jumping well in the triple jump, Jenny will be eager to continue her impressive early season form in the 800m and Perri continues to gather experience ahead of her 2012 push as she competes as part of the women's 4x400m relay team.
