Phillips, Perri and Jenny at Palace
Phillips Idowu, Perri Shakes-Drayton and Jenny Meadows, 3 of Great Britain's European medallists are all set to compete at the London Diamond League meet this weekend...
This weekend the world's top athletes will descend upon Crystal Palace where Phillips, Perri and Jenny will compete for the first time since their fantastic performances in the European Championships in Barcelona.
Phillips will once again be the star attraction as he reunites his rivalry with Teddy Tamgho. After Phillips rubberstamped his superiority in the triple jump by claiming gold in Barcelona, Teddy will be looking to get one back over the World Champion.
Perri will be competing in the 400m, not her specialised event the 400m hurdles where she won the bronze in Barcelona. Perri will be riding on a high after setting two new personal bests and winning two medals just two weeks ago and will be looking to continue this form on Saturday.
Continuing her recovery from injury, Jenny will once again be back in action in the 800m. Jenny was in fantastic form earlier in the season as she broke Kelly Holmes' UK indoor record and won the silver medal at the world indoors before an unfortunate injury forced her out of action for a few weeks but battled back to fitness and form at the Europeans as she came away with a superb bronze medal.
