James joined the panel on Question Time last night at the Weston Super Mare edition of the popular political programme

Hosted by John Humphries in the absence of David Dimbleby, James proved himself to be a valued member of the panel when quizzed on questions ranging from immigration to the lack of helicopters and other equipment for British troops in Afghanistan.

His honest and credible opinions drew huge applause from the audience at large and attracted support from Will Self, the cultural commentator famed for his acerbic wit and strong viewpoints, when responding to a public question on the governments handling of biometric data.
