Wiggo Equals Best British Ride In Tour

Bradley Wiggins has completed the ride of his life…

MTC's Bradley Wiggins finished a spectacular 4th overall in the Tour de France, equalling the previous best finish by a Briton in the Tour, Robert Millar's 4th place in 1984.

The conclusion of the tour will cement Bradley's place among cycling greats as a world class road racer, whilst also maintaining his status as an Olympic track star with 3 Gold medals to his name. Bradley has undoubtedly bridged the gap between himself and the more established Tour riders such as Alberto Contador, Andy Schelck and 7 time winner of the yellow jersey, Lance Armstrong, and he is well aware of his achievement; ‘Getting 4th place and equalling the great Robert Millar, and surpassing the even greater Tom Simpson, is pretty special. I do realise what I've achieved. And realistically, I think I can come back next year and try and get on the podium'.

From all at MTC, congratulations Bradley!
