Annabel Croft

Broadcaster / Presenter,
Radio 5Live Tennis Pundit,
Motivational Speaker / Awards Host,
Former British tennis player

A former British tennis champion Annabel Croft retired from professional tennis at the age of twenty-one. Her charm and entertaining playing style had made her a great favourite with the crowds, both live at tennis events and on television and these attributes transferred naturally to the world of media. Immediately after her retirement, Annabel developed, and continues to enjoy, long term relationships with many of the leading broadcasters' tennis output, both as an anchor, tennis reporter and as an all round sports correspondent.

Annabel Croft has developed a successful media career initially as the glamorous face of Channel 4's Treasure Hunt and ITV's Interceptor and in recent years has used her vast experience of the tennis circuit to contribute to a number of channel's coverage of the sport.  She recently took part in  a new series for the Award winning BBC1 Filthy Rich and Homeless  where she lived homeless on the streets of London for 9 days.

Annabel also hosted her own series The Flying Picnic for Granada and Sky Travel. Travelling around in an original DeHavilland Moth plane, she collected the ingredients from around Britain to recreate the famous household guru's ‘Mrs Beeton's Picnic for Forty' which since airing has received record viewer ratings.  Tapping into her passion of healthy and fun eating and cooking for family and friends, The Flying Picnic saw Annabel celebrate the quality of food Britain really has to offer.

Fitter, healthier and more confident than ever, both and on and off screen, Annabel Croft is fast becoming a new favourite with kids and parents alike proving herself serious competition for anyone that would like to take the challenge. She came just 2 points off winning BBC1's Superstars where she led the woman's team throughout the whole series.  She has also successfully completed the New York and London marathons  and remains committed to a fitness regime that has seen her look better than ever.

Naturally every year sees Annabel Croft continue to play an integral role in the coverage of Wimbledon for the BBC, Radio 5 Live and GMTV as she keeps her involvement in the game at the highest level both on and off screen.  She is also a key member of International  Eurosport's coverage of the French and Australian Opens and Sky's coverage of the US Open.

She continues to support her passion in raising the awareness of the benefits of Homeopathy and Natural medicines as well as child obesity in the UK and the issues and causes surrounding it . As a fit, healthy, glamorous mum-of-three, she uses her position as a role model to other mums to help spread the message about a problem that is spiralling out of control.

In 2009 Annabel and her Husband Mel launched the Annabel Croft tennis Academy at the National tennis Centre and she has just returned from Abu Dhabi having co hosted the prestigious Laureus Awards with Kevin Spacey and Gwyneth Paltrow.

CORPORATE / AWARDS HOST
CONFERENCE FACILITATOR
AFTER-DINNER SPEAKER

Annabel Croft is a popular choice for a whole raft of corporate functions. Her natural style and charm lend her perfectly to gala dinner evenings and awards ceremonies, which she hosts with ease and understated glamour. Annabel adds a touch of class to any evening event and her genuine enjoyment for hosting such occasions translates fluidly from the stage...

Annabel Croft has a strong and opinionated outlook on modern society making for a great conference host. Suitable for linking and facilitating general company conferences, her natural spark and approachable nature ensure that audiences relate to her easily.

The latest addition to Annabel's corporate portfolio is her after-dinner speech in which she presents a light-hearted look at her tennis and media experiences over the last 20 years. She begins with growing up on the tennis circuit as one of Britain's youngest and most successful female players of the era. Her humorous tales of wide-eyed naivety will entertain, engage and amuse. She moves on to her numerous media experiences, starting with Treasure Hunt and then divulging some of her more unusual, lesser known exploits, all the while incorporating anecdotal tales of some of Britain's best loved personalities. Annabel culminates with behind the scenes tales of one of our favourite summer fortnights - Wimbledon - where she presents and provides commentary every year. Annabel's natural style and wit ensure a flowing and amusing low-key after dinner speech that is suitable for numerous audiences.

Testimonials:

"Annabel was great fun, very personable with all attendees, happy to chat and be interested in them. She developed a good rapport and pitched her speech at the right level for our audience. If we'd told her earlier, she may even have taken part in the fun run!"
Dair Ltd - Organisers for the AXA Chaity Fun Run.

"Annabel Croft presented the Pixel Awards Dinner and was an incredible host. She was engaging and professional and made a big difference to the event. We would recommend her to anyone"
Simon Skinner, Pixel Magazine

"Just a quick note to express my thanks to Annabel for her contribution to making our conference a success. The energy, enthusiasm and professionalism she brought to the role of MC was recognised and appreciated by all of the attendees on the day and has also been reflected in much of the subsequent feedback.".
MD - Progressive Financial Services Ltd

"Thank you for making our celebration dinner such a success.  You made everyone feel very at ease."
Warwickshire County Council

"Annabel was superb.  Extremely professional and everyone was charmed by her."
Public Service Excellence Awards

"Annabel was a truly delightful addition to our annual tennis day at Queens.    She was very down to earth and friendly and made everyone feel very welcome. Following an intense coaching session, Annabel joined in with our round robin tennis tournament and was certainly a better player to have on your side of the net! She remained very encouraging about everyone's tennis despite the standard fluctuating between social and inept!  She was a great sport and we would be delighted to invite her next year."
Lawrence Graham LLP

"Annabel came across as very personable and charismatic not only in her speech, but also during her presentation of the awards to our students. She took the time to speak to all of our award winners and was one of the last ones to leave the drinks reception afterwards! We surveyed all of our attendees after the event and more than 90% found her speech enjoyable and thought she was a good choice for the event - what a shame we can't have her every year!"
Guildford College of Further and Higher Education Awards
